KMC Canada offers a Buddhist Study Program called the Foundation Program
Taught by the National Spiritual Director for Canada and Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Thekchen
Every Sunday and Wednesday evening from Sunday 12 September:
Sundays - 3:00 - 5:00 pm
Wednesdays - 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Join us for Intro to FP on Wed 8 September at 7pm. All are welcome!
Classes are at the Kadampa Temple at 631 Crawford St.

The study of Joyful Path of Good Fortune by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, will begin Sunday 12 September.
This book presents the stages of the path to enlightenment, or Lamrim. This presentation, over 1000 years old, is a condensation of Buddhas 84,000 teachings into 21 stages.

About the Foundation Program
The purpose of the Foundation Program is to provide a systematic presentation of particular subjects of Mahayana Buddhism to enable practitioners to deepen their knowledge and experience of Buddhism.
Five subjects
The program comprises the following five subjects, based on Buddha’s Sutra teachings and the corresponding commentaries by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso:
- The Stages of the Path to Enlightenment, based on the commentary Joyful Path of Good Fortune
- Training the Mind, based on the commentaries Universal Compassion and Eight Steps to Happiness
- The Heart Sutra, based on the commentary Heart of Wisdom
- Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, based on the commentary Meaningful to Behold
- Types of Mind, based on the commentary Understanding the Mind
