Eight Steps to Happiness

Monday Evenings:  6:30 - 8pm with Gen Kelsang Thekchen

Love is the wish for others to be happy. In these classes we are shown how to gradually move our mind toward a loving attitude free from attachment and jealousy and thus experience peace of mind and a meaningful life.

Inspiring Solutions for Difficult Times

When we develop a positive attitude toward difficult circumstances we achieve a mental freedom that allows us to approach our situation with a clear and happy mind. In this series, we develop the wisdom to solve our daily problems through changing our perspective.

March 22- May 3

  • March 22:  Changing our world through the mind of compassion
  • March 29:  Transforming our difficulties into opportunities for spiritual growth
  • April 5:      No class- Easter Monday
  • April 12:    Developing real patient acceptance
  • April 19:   The healing power of compassion and love Part 1
  • April  26:   The healing power of compassion and love Part 2
  • May 3:        Helpful tips to stay peaceful in difficult times

Runnymede Library, 2178 Bloor St. West, 2nd floor

Cost
$10 per class, $40 for 5 classes
Free to KMCC students with TTP, FP or GP member cards.  

Classes include two guided meditations, a teaching and time for questions.

These meditation classes are open to the public and are perfectly suitable for those new to meditation and Buddhist philosophy.
